Only problems that I've heard of are fees and/or surcharges being added after you've dropped off the package. Since you don't pay for the services right away, but are billed through eBay, you have to be careful. When I ship FedEx, I always measure and weigh very carefully, then when I take it in to their store, I have them double check everything before turning it over to them. That way there's no surprises later.

Yes. I recently had a problem with FedEx on delivery of an item I bought on eBay. The shipper had promised me two-day express with a guaranteed delivery date. Somehow, though, FedEx put the transaction through as standard delivery with only an estimated delivery date. (I don't know whether this was the fault of the shipper or FedEx.) The package was then rather wildly routed by FedEx, and it took eight days to get to me. The explanation from FedEx? Lack of enough available delivery drivers due to work outages because of COVID-19.

I ship through FedEx frequently with very few issues. The only risk is that if FedEx's automated system mis-measures the size or weight of your package it's very difficult (ie impossible) to get eBay to dispute the charges on your behalf. Doesn't happen often, but when it does it's a pain.

Check the FedEx site, they have suspended all "guaranteed delivery" timeframes indefinitely.
