I came across a prior post in the eBay Community's Buying & Selling section concerning fraudulent addresses, and now I've encountered another one that closely resembles those, albeit with a slight variation in the street number. The address in question, 8454 NW 70th St Miami FL 33166, has just scammed me. They filed an item not received claim, and messaged me saying that I must refund them because the tracking shows the item was "delivered to agent for final delivery," which according to them, USPS doesn't do. Additionally, the phone number they provided led me to a message stating, "This international call will be billed to you...!!!!" Furthermore, this individual displayed rude behavior. Further investigation reveals that the "delivered to agent for final delivery" status is associated with a Freight Forwarder service and happens when the delivery address is a big building or complex, like an apartment, dormitory, etc. This 8454 NW 70th St address was reported to the BBB in 2020. Multiple addresses on NW 70th St have been identified as scams perpetrated by individuals using a Freight Forwarding Company with addresses on or near NW 70th St Miami FL 33166, including street numbers 8426, 8430, 8434, 8454, 8550, 8558, 8562, 8566, 8572, 8580, 8586, 8590, and others in the vicinity of the same street. Similar scams have also been reported from the area around 8020 NW 66th St.
These scammers frequently change names and utilize numerous accounts. They typically claim that their item wasn't received due to an incorrect address or, as in the most recent case, cite "delivered to agent for final delivery" as the reason.
