Hi folks, I recently a message from Ebay saying that my account is about to be charged. This was regarding to an item that I sold, and UPS was the courier. I always measure and weigh the items after packing to have an accurate weight and dimensions. If the dimension is slightly more, I round off to the next inch. When I printed the label, the cost was $29.85. It said by purchasing labels on Ebay I saved whatever it would be from the full price. The total cost ended up being $43.01. I have contacted Ebay regarding this matter and still awaiting a reply. The person I spoke to said that other people have been having the same experience recently. Could this situation be that UPS and the other couriers (FEDX) are not applying the discounted price when buying labels on Ebay and charging the same price as if the label was purchased at their store. I would like to hear from other members what they think the reason is for this, and suggestions to prevent this from happening again. Thanks for all your input.

What did the buyer pay?
What was the weight, dimensions, and buyer's Zip Code?

I'm looking at similar issues and I believe I've discovered the cause. Maybe you're experiencing the same problem.
In the email you received from eBay, what was the "Weight on label"?
And what was the "Actual weight" ?
And do you remember what the actual weight was when you weighed it?

There are a multitude of "surcharges" that can apply to UPS and FedEx packages that do not display/are not accounted for, in the eBay "estimated" cost of delivery.
