I have no idea who or what is coming FedEx. I ALWAYS request that no one ships anything to me via FedEx.
Yesterday I came home stopping on the road to get the mail. There wasa FedEx doortag INSIDE (illegal) my mailbox. I called for redelivery as I couldn't schedual it on line he instead of writing down the tracking he wrote in VOID in that space. So I jumped through hoops to talk to a person. They said it would be deliverd by 8pm. I said I couldn't wait around ALL day and for them to find out when they would be in the area. this narrowed it down to between 10 and 2. At 12:30 I went down to get the mail, guess what was in my mailbox. ANOTHER FEDEX DOORTAG!!!
I have 3 little dogs, ANYONE driving up the driveway gets a full scale alarm, even family and friends. I even had the slider open so I would hear the truck. HE NEVER EVEN ATTEMPTED DELIVERY!

I get it - it's super annoying. I can't see my front door from my office (separate building). I have a motion sensor across my driveway, but sometimes drivers cross the lawn and leave it on my unused front porch, never tripping the alarm.
I don't know how much you order, but maybe you need to be sure that your sellers are willing to ship through your preferred carrier before purchasing.

Yep, had the same thing happen to me recently for several shipments. One time, the door tag was posted on my mailbox. Second day, on my screen door. I was home both days; my car at top of driveway. I have two small dogs who can hear the wind blow a mile away and don't hesitate to let you know about it ! There is absolutely no way the driver knocked on my door.
Totally Annoying! Third day I had to keep watch all day for the truck and go outside to meet the driver.
Only thing you can do is go pick it up yourself. If that's possible. I think if you don't catch him tomorrow, they hold it at the facility for five days.
Yeah, in the future, message the seller and ask if they will not ship FedEx before purchase. It's an extra step to buying but will save you all this aggregation in the end.
Good luck... I feel for you! 😑

Maybe I don't understand the question but Fedex always leaves packages at my front door, just like UPS or the mailman. Maybe Fedex has it in their system to not a leave a package if no one is there to accept it?

They seem to have no problem leaving all my packages on the porch, and I live in Chicago. My neighborhood is tagged as one of the lowest crime areas, but it's still Chicago and thieves run amok in even the most upscale areas here.

One of the shipping companies recently announced a service where they leave the package inside your house. They have remote access to an electronic door lock on your door and leave the package inside when you're not home. Might be worth looking into. Or alternatively, if one of your cars has Onstar or other remote unlocking, they could leave a package in your trunk.

The River started doing that awhile back. Even so, I don't trust strangers who have access to my house.

I always check the shier on anything I order. Most of the time if it says FedEx I just look elsewhere. And there is only one place I get anything regular that ships FedEx (Naked Wines), that I have shied to my work (USPS)and the Postmaster signs for it. Of course I get ribbed for ordering wine and having it shipped to work. But it needs signed for and its an easy solution.
The problem with this is I have no idea what it is. The driver didn't even leave a tracking number and when I called FedEx they *get this* said they couldn't give it to me or give me the shipers info FOR SECURITY REASONS!
So as my Jeep is still in the shop, not getting finished yesterday I'm going to see about getting it from the terminal after all it is only a short jaunt of 58 miles away. Whats 2 hours in my little beater truck out of my day. (it just better be something really freaking good!)

I have a wonderful mail carrier and sub and the guy that has the UPS route here is great too. Though when he took over the route he had big shoes to fill, the old driver was extreemly well liked.
I don't know what is up with the FedEx guy. He has slapped a door tag on the front of the mailbox once while my daughter was in the driveway in full view. And once I even followed him up the lane (its a dead end), watched him reach out and slap on a door tag, turn around in the school buss turnaround to come nose to nose with my Jeep. When he does deliver you never know where they will be. I found a FedEx Express package (something my daughter needed for collage) inside my old farm truck. I haddn't used the truck in months so I thought I'll list it on Facebook. Went to take some picks and found it. I bet it had been there over a month.

That is fine with me. Heck I'm way out of town and don't even lock the doors. My mailcarrier knows that she is welcome to use the guest bathroom if she ever needs to. When Grandpa and Grandma were alive the old mailcarrier would often stop for lunch at the old farm house (up the hill from my house and empty now).

Get this. Since my Jeep was still in the shop I ran up to FedEx.
What it was was a letter from Wells Fargo. I had tried to do a refi and they said that I should not make a payment while it was in prossess. It drug on until I was quite late (even though I kept the funds thinking I would make a big principal payment to double down on the savings).
Well it turned out it was denied and LOADS of late fees added onto the amount I was behind. They are now saying that it should NOT have been denied and I may be intitled to a refund. They want my side of the story.
No clue why this needed sent FedEx with signature required.
Oh and the terminal manager said that the driver has been with them for years and is one of their best. If he is their best then I'd hate to be on the routes with even worse drivers.
