(2019) New Label Printing page FedEx FAIL!!

I accept that eBay is going to force everyone to use their new, made-for-smartphones page. Whatever....

But their new labels page prints FedEx labels vertically instead of horizontally!

Like tons of other eBay shippers I use an inkjet printer and 2-to-a-page self stick labels. USPS labels print horizontally just fine but not FedEx. (The classic labels page prints FedEx horizontal with no issues)

Didn't anyone in the IT department think about or test this? How hard can this be to fix?

I avoid the new label flow so I've not had the issue.

I too just use the classic label page for all my FedEx labels but very soon that will not be an option. I really try to be positive here but it sure seems like every time eBay "improves" something it just makes my job more complicated and time consuming!

Forced into the new labels page today. It won't let me shrink the postage label. Won't fit small boxes. Besides just being a pain compared to the old way. Very unhappy about this. Why couldn't they just leave us the choice. One size does not fit all. Andrew

With all the changes being made that really don't help the small seller, I'm beginning to think they want us to go away.

The new shipping page is a major Pain in the ***!

Same here. I ship a lot of small boxes and always reduced to 75 % size. Now I expect labels to be torn. The priority options are not all there either. Where is Medium Flat Rate, Regional B Box, Large Flat Rate

Sorry for your pain.  Fortunately, eBay didn't include us in their new laboratory experiment.

I have worked years in a software development environment, and I can tell you that the system of software development (including roll-out, testing, usability, etc. ) are being managed by unqualified or inexperienced leadership.  They are simply not using practices that are well-known to the industry ... their software system engineering is woefully inadequate.

I have same issue. Thought I could adjust through my printer. Negative. Today they made it so I can not go back to old way. Complaints are in order.

They just deleted the Classic Mail printer page option for printing labels. Plus there is NO OPTION FOR USPS PRIORITY MAIL SMALL FLAT RATE BOXES in the new version. So I was forced to print my postage at PayPal for this package to my buyer. Seriously this is total amateur hour at eBay. After all this time and after all these months their big roll-out of the new page fails this badly with basic mail options missing??

The options are not missing.

The new label flow hides flat rate and Regional Rate options on the "Custom Size" tab when the dimensions in the listing or entered in the label flow indicate the item won't fit in that option, but all the USPS Packaging options are still available on the USPS/Carrier Packaging tab in the label flow.

Example:
if entered dimensions exceed any of 12" x 9" x 3" then the Padded Flat Rate Envelope option will be hidden, but it will still be available on the USPS/Carrier Packaging tab there (that screen of options ignores dimensions.)


Classic printing is still available - you just have to do some work to get to it. I use it exclusively (for now)

hate when ebay changes stuff like no one that makes the system actually use's it . With priitng fedex labels that dont print on self stick labels correctly. now it wont even let us use Classic system so we are stuck printing it on paper and taping it on to box , what a pain and waste of time, thanks again ebay  .... place is going down hill every year for sellers
