Relative newbie here. Some sales I've gotten from buyers with strange handles similar to the above, or it might have bits of the buyer's actual name (eg, John Doe's handle might be something like "jhdo-43abc7d92ef").
It makes me wonder if these people are actual Ebay users, as these handles aren't easy to remember or catchy. I am getting a lot of one-time buyers? Can anyone explain these handles to me?

Those are guest buyers, ebay's computer gives them the id name and it can only be used one.

Those are guest accounts that allow for purchases without having to go through the account creation procedure.

First letter of the alphabet, last letter.
First 4 numbers.
Then the word random with every other letter capitalized.
I like it. Easy to remember, imo, at least for me.

eBay masks all bidder names except to that specific bidder.
THAT is what you are seeing.

They're guest buyers. Ebay assigns a unique user id. If they decide to register with Ebay, they can choose their own id.

Oh, for the love of ...
OP is the SELLER. eBay doesn't mask ID's from the SELLER. And besides, eBay's masking is ALWAYS: letter star star star letter (e.g. x***x). Does that look anything like what the OP is asking about?
