why are there variations of promotions and no description?

These are just default titles eBay has for promotional campaigns. If you go to your advertising dashboard you can name a campaign whatever you like. A campaign is selecting a portion of your listings and promoting them a certain way.

When you just promote listings from your active listings page, ebay assigns a campaign name with the date. The idea of having multiple campaigns is so that you can adjust the rates of different listings separately. For example, you can have all items under $20 in one campaign in which you promote at 2% and all of your other listings priced over $20 promoted at 5%. Then when you list a new item, you can choose which campaign to put it in.

Hope that kind of explains it. It's 4:00am and I'm beat but I saw that no one answered and I didn't want to leave you hanging.

Also want to add that if you have no active listings in those campaigns, you can just delete all of them from advertising dashboard. Or end all campaigns and re-promote the listings you want to promote and choose your own title for that campaign.
