Hi
I recently got a message from Ebay saying my listing has "java script" which they don't support and that I needed to change it. I not only don't know what that is, but neither would I recognize what needs changing. Is it possible that using Pages to write my selling template may have been a problem? I now have Word (didn't have it for a couple of years) and have re-done my listing template (returns and refunds policy etc) and wonder if that was the problem. But there's no way to call Ebay so I'm looking for help from anyone out there.
Second question too. It seems like many folks are using a 30 day return policy. Doesn't 14 days work anymore?
Thanks very much for any help you can provide.
Best,
EW

1. Question 01
JavaScript is a programming language. Most websites use JavaScript to show active contents.
So if you use active contents in your item descriptions when buyers may face problems when they visit your item. These active contents may increase pay loading time and introduce security risks. So you better remove active contents from your listings.
Read the full JavaScript policy,
2. Question 02

Stop cut and past from other sites and you wont get the garbage in your listing.
As for the returns you best read the buyer guarantee you agree to by selling on eBay.

You can use @shipscript's tools to check your listings for active content:
https://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentScanner.htm
It looks like one of your listings has some active content. You can scan listings one at a time here and see exactly what the problem is:
https://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentSandbox.htm?134035550297
It looks like you have a lengthy script that was probably copied by accident when you copied and pasted text from the manufacturer's website.

The listing that @lacemaker3 mentioned is showing the LastPass script problem. The script is injected by LastPass as soon as you save the listing, so you may not see it while editing. eBay may detect it while editing so that you can remove it, but it will just come back when you save.
The script is not harmful.
You can avoid the problem by turning off LastPass while listing and while revising.
To cure the problem in listing 134035550297, you'll have to remove all the code at the end of your description. Open the HTML view of eBay's description editor and remove all of the undecipherable code block below your description, or use the sandbox tool (linked by @lacemaker3 ) and copy the "filtered" content to replace the entirety of your HTML view.

Hello!!!!!
Oh my goodness, I'm feeling VERY out of my depth. Not knowing anything about coding...I'm going to look in Last Pass and see how to turn it off...have no idea at this moment. How do you know I have Last Pass? Does it somehow show up in my listing description? So baffling and THANK YOU SO much!!!! I'll be back for more. Is it possible that when I cut and pasted from Pages, my template, into Word, it got messed up?
