tracking says return to sender

I was just checking my tracking on some items I recently sold

on this one item it says "return to sender"--this was dated 5-8-17 at 1006am

the buyer never notified me about any issues with this --I also have it my ads for no returns

will I have to take it back and refund the money without any notice from the buyer

I did do a "contact buyer" so well see if I get a response

and tips or advice would be great thanks

Could be a number of reasons why it says that.

Buyer may have passed away.

Buyer may have moved and forgotten to update his address.

If no reply from buyer prior to your receiving the item back, refund his money and block him.
