What do I do after an item is sold?
1. sold the item
2. sent the invoice
3. waiting for payment
what are the next steps?

Wait for the buyer to pay. eBay sends them a notice to do so. Once they pay, you ship the item to the address eBay provided to you. If the buyer does not pay after a week or so, you file an unpaid case to get your selling fees back. However, most do pay. Some are quicker than others to do so.
Watch out if it's a high value item as scammers might send you a fake you have been paid notice. You should come back here before you ship a high value item. We can help you make sure you were really paid.

Skip step 2, sending the invoice. This is usually not necessary and it locks in the shipping cost. Buyers can change their address during the payment process, so sending the invoice could result in them underpaying if the revised address is farther from you (or over paying, if it's closer).
Just wait for the buyer to pay, then ship the item to the address that's attached to the payment.

I make sure I have my packaging figured out before I list anything. You will save a little money by printing labels at home instead of waiting inline at the post office. So I guess the next step is to be ready to package it up and mail it as soon as they pay.
Is there snow all around you or are the roads clear? The answer might help you set your handling time so you don't get dinged for late tracking uploads.

When you asked questions a few days ago, it was suggested that you do some more reading about selling.
When do you plan to do that?
BTW, I would not get too excited about that sale. There were no measurements in your listing for an item of clothing.

Once eBay tells you that you're paid, you ship. Easy-peasy.

Your question tells me you're not ready. This is not a game and you can end up paying dearly for what you don't know. Stop listing until you either read how to do this, or, BUY some things. You can learn a lot by buying.
Everyone wants you to succeed. But right now, you're not ready.

4. Get paid. Check your account to ensure the funds are there. As a new seller, the funds may be on hold, so they might be referred to as “pending”.
5. Ship the item according to your stated terms in the listing. For example, if you said they would go by Priority, then ship them Priority.
Once the funds are available to you, remember that you need to have a ‘cushion’ of funds in your account in case of returns. Altho your listing states “no returns”, eBay’s Money Back Guarantee trumps all seller terms. If there is a problem with the trans
Congrats on your sales and wish you much success. Be sure to read and act on all the suggested info in this thread. That is critically important. Success on eBay depends on your being an informed seller. Good luck!!

Sorry, hit the reply button by mistake. To conclude my sentence above, if there is a problem with the transaction, you need to insure you have money to refund.

After you have been notified of a payment received, you pack it up carefully and ship it to the customer along with adding a tracking number. Easy peasy.
