i sell mostly one of kind items with quantity of 1. when item sells it stays in the active listing section in seller hub with a quantity of 0. i thought the problem could be the switch in seller preferences under mutli quantity listings out of stock. but the switch does not seem to be working or change how it handles these listings.
anyone had this problem or have a suggestion? i will never sell these items again.

There was another member the other day that was having the same problems.
They checked their out of stock option and it was turned off also.

If you have recently turned the out-of-stock option off, I don't think that is going to change anything for listings with this feature that are already zero quantity. So you probably still have to end the zero-quantity listings yourself, but hopefully it will be just the ones that are currently zero-quantity.
The help page isn't clear about what happens to zero-quantity listings when you disable it. It tells you what will happen for non-zero-quantity listings when you turn the feature on, but it's not when you turn it off. It's likely that any non-zero-quantity listings will end as expected, when the quantity reaches zero, after you have disabled it.

I "think" that once listed with the toggle switched "on" it will not delete until the 30-day listing would have expired....(if that makes any sense)
in other words....I toggled the switch to "off" but had an item with "0" inventory on my active list with 12 days left to expiration...i think it deletes at that time and moves to the "sold" listings.....I only noticed that when I weould see an item I sold 3 months earlier show up as a "sold" item ....

The out of stock option was on but you turned it off? As @lacemaker3 mentioned, the items that already had a 0 quantity will have to be manually ended.
