I recently made a sale. I paid to ship the item to him. The buyer was to pay shipping, which he did. I have been paid for the item (less selling fees) OK, but not yet for the shipping. When/how will I receive that? Order number was 09-06475-64507

The buyer paid for the shipping fees, so you will not get that money.
If you create your shipping label thru Ebay, they use the shipping fee for the label.

If a buyer pays for shipping you will receive the cost of item plus the shipping fee. If state tax is charged you do not receive the tax portion because Ebay send the tax payment to the designated state for you. You are then charged Ebay selling fees (usually 10% plus 2.35% +.30 Transaction fee on the entire sale, TAX INCLUDED). You then would pay for shipping label. So the shipping costs are also subject to all the transaction fees (usually 10% plus 2.35% Transaction fee)
Example
Item sells for 14.99, shipping 3.50, tax (nj) 1.22
Total Sale price is #19.70
Transaction fees on total including tax $19.70 would calculate to $2.73
$19.70 less 2.73-1.21=$15.76 and you would pay for the shipping label separately
So your gross profit would be $12.26

You don't get the money for "shipping money" (that goes to pay for label when it is printed).

So shipping is paid for twice? Someone explain this to me. I sold an item for $3.50, with shipping $16.00 which came out of my bank account, I just received a payout for $3.50. Something is wrong.

The other site I'm on the transaction takes place in one area. Once the item sells and a shipping label is purchased the fees are automatically deducted and you can clearly see how much you will receive minus the deductions. You can choose when you want the sale deposited into your bank account, (next day, monthly or weekly)
