What's with it is that they have been told that starting threads, posting replies, giving and receiving "helpfuls," and accumulating "badges" is the equivalent of building up feedback and creates visibility and good reputation.   (They are often told this by the same people who sell them dodgy PayPal accounts outside Sri Lanka, by the way.) 

Nothing we say here dissuades them from that view.  Indeed, they've also been told that when we say such things as we do, it's because we are competitors trying to keep them down.  Sad.

What, exactly, in the OP's post that tells you they are in Sri Lanka? The only way you would know that would be to research the OP's location. Have you nothing better to do with your time than to pry into an OP's location? And if it really bothers you :

     I have no problem with the questions being posted but I do have issues with some of the logic behind some of the questions and why they are asking them. They either have not tried looking in the help files or scanned the seller forum for similar questions or they have some unfathomable reason for asking the question. 

     I have no idea how to answer this question because I don't understand why they are asking it.

@richard1rst  What caught my eye is the person has zero feedback and asking how old something should be to sell on Ebay. It seems like a very open ended question and most with common senses would not ask such a thing. I checked to see how long it was since they opened their account and found out that way.  The person's history tells much more than what they are normally asking/saying. Have you ever read a post with someone complaining then looked at their feedback to see a sea of red ?

I figure these lads are victims of a scam- thanks to the poster who explained it may be a phony Paypal account scam and not exactly related to eBay.

Telling them that they should be setting up a Payoneer account is my equivalent of wrapping the victim of a traffic accident in a blanket.
Not as useful as the paramedics, but telling them we understand their ambition and admire their drive.

Are you kidding me? How much time do you spend on these boards? Is/was there any doubt where this OP was from?  FYI "researching" the OP's location took me one click and all of about one second.

I often read this tidy house thing - and guess what, I know where it came from and it was infact a typo.

There was a thread here about a seller who googled a buyers address and found they live in a TINY house, a few others came in and said the usual, so what we do too and a little SL responder chimed in with "I like your TIDY house" - probably having no idea what a "tiny" house is.

Uselss information I know, but it is Saturday here and raining and I am bored LOL

Don't fret, the SL poster didn't want answers, they wanted badges and helpfuls.

Some are genuine and they can be easily identified by the tone and context of their question and the fact they ask REAL questions - to those I always reply the best I can or provide a link to help them.

Stick around for a while - ususally between the hours of about 2.00am in the morning and you will see so many posts you will be astounded LOL
