Hi, I would just like to put it out there. Sellers are getting the raw end. Not only do we get non payment from buyers. and they do not get a negative. But when you sell something that you know is right and good. E bay
does not care. They take our money and do not care about us. What can we do. Is there another platform
that we can use instead of e bay member for 18 years

Did you know selling used bottles of perfume is against the cosmetics policy?
They also are limited to ground shipping. You may want to revise your listings and change the shipping method if you continue selling perfume.

"Is there another platform..."
There are, but it's against the forum rules to point you toward them. Hang in there...

Auto set for non payers.......
If a buyer hasn’t paid within 4 days, on the 5th day you can go to your Seller Hub to cancel the transaction using the “Buyer hasn't paid” reason and this gives the buyer a strike and you can relist. In future to have eBay automatically cancel your transactions due to non-payment:
Go here: https://www.ebay.com/Cancel/Preference/UnpaidPurchase

Relax and keep giving good service. Non-payers used to stress me out, but no more. I have my account to automatically cancel after 4 days and then I block them and relist. No big deal. Don't give them another thought!

If you've been selling online for 18 years, I would think you'd be familiar with who the other platforms are by now, you just need to decide which would fit your own needs, but I can tell you, eBay still reaches the largest market, and most do not do auctions.
As for the annoying non-payers, it's a bummer, I know, frustrating and time wasting. If you haven't done so yet, set your seller preferences to block anyone who has gotten two non-paying strikes in a rolling 12-month period.

It's been fully 8-10 years since sellers were allowed to give negative FB to buyers.
You need to let go.
And more than one person here has now reminded you how to handle non-paying bidders.
Feel free to shop around for another selling venue if you wish.

It’s kinda shocking.
I wear Chanel perfume & I buy it brand new, sealed up, in a box fresh from the Chanel store &
if I recall last fabulous bottle fragrance I bought spray eau de cologne 3.4 fluid Oz. Which cost approximately $135. Or maybe $140. Last year…
You are asking $175. For a sorry looking old used 1970s Chanel bottle no label no box not pristine.

You won’t like it on any other platform then. eBay cares more than amazon, Walmart, or Etsy. You can at least get stuff resolved and taken care of on eBay if you know what your doing. On the other 3 they don’t give a rats a_s_s

Not only do we get non payment from buyers. and they do not get a negative.
Open Unpaid Item Disputes as soon as possible.
Or enable eBay to do so automatically.
You will not be charged any fees (unless you opted for a non-refundable fee like Auction Reserve, which, don't.)
While you can't leave deadbeats negative feedback, when they lose a UID, they get Strikes which makes it harder to buy on eBay in future .
This protects all sellers, because we can also go to our Seller Preferences/Buyer Requirements and automatically Block attempts to buy from deadbeats with Strikes.
Another way to avoid UIDs is to forget Auctions, which make up less than 15% of transactions, but attract the most UIDs, and opt for Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required, which leaves your listing up for 30 days or until someone pays for it.

I mean if you’re going to rag on what other people are selling, you’re selling a bunch of old dusty out of date books for over 10 grand.

about sums it up.... and when you post here on the board they will mock and tell you its "YOUR FAULT". ebay opened the doors to scammers by "ALWAYS TAKING THE BUYERS SIDE" this is just a reactions to that policy.

the SELLERS are ALWAYS the ones taking the hit when buyers dont pay. no skin off ebays nose... the policy would change over night if it was THEM having to deal with it.
