seller with a bidder question

So I posted an item and received an offer but countered, etc. This went back and forth a few time and then I made my last/best counter offer which was declined, no biggie. So now they again sent me another offer when I again said this is my best and final counter offer as I wasn't sure if they were just playing a game at this point. Well they did offer what I was looking for but never paid. Now again they sent me another offer (this is the third go around) after all this and again sent a lower offer than before, is this a game people play?

I also have a separate offer where they are not paying and that will expire soon. Is this a major issue where sellers accept an offer and the buyer doesn't pay?

Thank you for any advice.

No sale is worth that much effort.

I would block the "buyer" before he costs you any more time and aggravation.

Buyers will grudgingly buy an item at a price higher than they want to pay. Then pursue a discount that they are not entitled to after delivery. They find a fictitious flaw to get a partial refund.

Cease communication and add these buyers to your blocked bidder list, earlier.

The emotional toll and aggravation of Best Offers will be less for you.

Easy.

Block and ignore.

I agree.  Heck after we had done a couple of rounds I would have just stopped responding and blocked the buyer.

@khthompson325

After 96 hours pass after they buyers purchase, if no payment arrives, you can file a Cancellation of the transaction using the reason, the buyer did not pay.

Also make sure you have your Buyer Requirements in your site preferences set to the max on unpaid strikes, which is 2 in 12 months.

And look at the other Requirements there as there are a couple of new ones that might be useful to you.

It happens.

Whether that is a "major issue" or not is a matter of opinion.

You can't do anything about it, and neither will eBay.

I would decline the new offer, let the old one expire, and move on.
