does anyone know a good phone number for ebay security problems that can get you someone that doesn't read from a script and you can understand...my father's account was frozen 2 weeks ago for "security reasons".

After 5 phone calls and five different runarounds he is still frozen

EBay should have sent some type of notification as to why the account was suspended. Do you have the text of that notification? Customer support is pretty much useless these days but try contacting eBay through the Facebook connection these individuals seem to know what they are doing and have the authority to take action on a problem or to provide additional information.

Have your dad read the emails that ebay sent. Tell him to look in MY EBAY.  It could be a request for receipts for a pricey item that he may have sold. Perhaps, he needs to send his social security number and a valid ID. Very often, ebay's emails get blocked by a spam program but the emails in the Ebay system will be there.

Otherwise do what the others told you to do.  The folks on Facebook are very knowledgeable and helpful and are fluent in English.
