Did you mean:

restriction and unauthorized withdrawel

Ebay has me rated as an "above average" seller. But my account is restricted. ebay sent two micro deposits in order to verify my account and then made a withdrawal for over $130.00. I want to know why.

I don't think anyone here could guess.

You would have to look at transactions in the payments tab of your Seller Hub. I would start here:

https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions

(Unless it was for a purchase you made.)

Your Sold Items show only one sale in the past three months (tires), but you have been an active buyer.

I suspect part of the problem is a relatively high value sale, in a category far removed from your advertised interest (tires vs meso-american  artifacts).

EBay has been very twitchy about hijacked accounts and worried about being used as a fence for stolen goods and many occasional sellers have been roped into the pool.

And if that's not a mixed metaphor, I am a monkey's daddy's brother.

I wondered if his entire amount of proceeds from the $450.00 sale were still being held,   He shipped the tires and got tagged for the shipping fee instead of it coming out of his proceeds.

@skylineantiquities Did you cancel or try to refund order before receiving payout? Looks like you had a lot of listing issues

@dirk12955 I'm thinking it was connected to a refund/FVF fiasco of some sort. The title says all 5 tires for sale then listed it as a variation listing with description showing three different amounts.

@skylineantiquities

Could it be the shipping charges on the item you sold?

The micro deposits are a way to verify your bank account for the Managed Payment process.  So one has nothing to do with the other.

You are not likely "restricted", but just going through Ebay's process of reverifying you as a seller.

Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

@r_lresale, I think you got it.

@skylineantiquities, did you cancel and refund the sale of  the two tires on April 15? Or did you just not ship them?

The listing shows 5 tires available and two were purchased by the same buyer. Based on the prices shown on the listing, the final value fees would have been about $130, depending on the sales tax rate.

If you did not refund the buyer, and eBay had to refund them for you, then you don't get the credit for the final value fees because you didn't handle the cancellation/transaction appropriately.

Paid by Buyer:  US $ Charged on:   (Comments)
    Purchase price  $   500.00(2 @ $250 each)
    Shipping  $   400.00(2 @ $200 each)
    Subtotal  $   900.00
    Sales tax    9.0% $      81.00Subtotal (at buyer's tax rate)
Total payment  $    981.00

Paid by seller:  (FVF = Final Value Fee)
    FVF Variable 13.25% $    129.98Total payment
    FVF fixed $    0.30 $        0.30(Per order)
  Total fees  $    130.28
