If the case was still open and you entered the tracking number you should be able to have it closed.

The buyer can just go to the original request and close it. If they don't it will eventually time out and just go away.
If for some reason it was escalated by the buyer you would just need to add the tracking number (you probably already did) and if it shows delivered the case would be closed in your favor.
eBay really interested in having sellers call them to close close requests that will close on their own because the matter has been resolved.
