"respond to question".... how do I get rid of that?

So a buyer write, I write back. He writes back "thank you!" .... now I have 2 "unanswered messages"... which are NOT unanswered messages.

2 weeks ago I could go into My Ebay, Selling, and the drop down menu gave me the choice "mark this question as answered." Now that choice is gone.

So is there another place I can go to do this? Or am I supposed to write a 'response' that says, 'This is a response to your 'thank you' as idiot ebay thinks I have an unanswered question from a buyer. Please do NOT respond to this response OR I will then have to RESPOND to your new RESPONSE and this may takes years...." 

???? help, please....??

Sorry but your last line made me laugh out loud  LOL  !  I was having the same darn thing  happening . I never knew if it was a question I already had answered or a new one  which lead me to checking nothing  half the time .  It finally went away  on its own . My boys used to listen to a song when they were little called '' The song that never ends '' .  I guess reading your post brought back some humorous memories .  🙂  Tulips

It goes away when the listing expires, be it 30 days or 10 days or... It won't need years. You don't know how many times I was tempted to end the listing early just to get rid of those messages!

Just tried one of mine that is a Thank you & can still mark  answered  as of this morning
Tried via Seller Hub & My ebay all Selling

There is a link in the seller hub that tells you how many listings have unanswered questions.  When you click on that link, it brings up a list and you can mark them answered.

Look in the listings section for the link.
