Hmmmm.....
I guess it is still slightly better than getting in a different quarter?
It is probably a tougher job than it appears with e-Bay trying to ready all these invoices at one time. They probably only have 10 or 12 Abacuses max and sharing is probably not an option.
(God help us when it is time for all the 1099s)

@mr_lincolnC'mon. Give them a break. You act as if ebay was a large corporation. 😀

Your April invoice was not "sent in June".
The invoice was available in your reports on the closing date of the period.
This was simply a notification about the invoice.

@katzrul15 1099s? Oh NO, DON'T get me started on those ... oops, too late.
eBay made a change to their MP accounting and CSV files which Sellers like me who have State tax IDs use to report our Quarterly sales to our State ... oh yes, they created NEW designations for transactions on returns and simply put those dollar amounts on "HOLD" and did not include them in the Sold total for the 1099 form tabulation ... really? Well what does that mean?
What it means is in 4Q last year, and unbeknownst to Sellers, they literally took sales dollars OUT of the sold amount and put them on Hold if it was a returned item ... but WAIT, the IRS on their Schedule C form Line 2 ALLOWS for dollar amounts for Returned items since the SOLD amount of those sales are included on Line 1 of the form!!! (I told eBay they CAN'T do what they are doing).
Below, screen shot of eBay's 4Q20 CSV file or sales, the "Hold" amounts total about $ 600.
Below that, screen show of the IRS Schedule C form showing Returns and Line 2 where they are recorded.
So, the bottom line here is eBay issued a 1099 to me for Aug thru Dec last year for my MP account months. In 4Q they put my return Sold amounts AND return dollar amounts on HOLD and when they issued the 1099 those HOLD amounts were NOT included ... NOPE, those dollars were NOT included because what I reported to the state from my 4Q20 sales were off by the amount eBay put on HOLD so eBay effectively reported those sales dollars wrong.
The other thing they did was falsify the dates of the HOLD transactions. The one big one of $ 270.05 in December was actually an October Sale that wound up getting resolved, returned and refunded in December BUT they changed the two transaction dates to Dec 17 & 18 making it appear that the sale and refund happened one day apart ... which is False and probably illegal.
