I just received a message from ebay and one of the questions was if my items are mobile friendly and included a test link. I entered the item numbers for several of my listings and they all came up as not being found. I guess that to mean my items aren't being seen on mobile devices? Just exactly what does it take or what do I have to change for my items to be seen on mobile devices? I did receive a message from another seller the other day that my listings showed on their laptop but when they checked my listings on their phone it said I didn't have any listings up. Is this something I'm doing wrong or is it the fault of ebay??

Hi, one of eBay's convincing pushes to do this upgrade to Stores was to make them https compliant secure AND mobile friendly at the same time the conversions were made. Which I took to mean when you list it is automatically mobile friendly.
I use a 3rd party AW2K listing service which means I don't have to even see what the SYI page looks like. But as a test, I listed 2 new items. I went into the SYI Revision on one of the listings to be sure the ebay promise ? worked, clicked on that mobile checker thingy, and it was already "friendly." Then when into the second new listing, clicked on checker...NO mobile friendly, so I had to use the Checker thingy.
So obviously the Store automatic friendly is unreliable. So now I still have to go into each to be sure. Total waste of my time.

I have no clue as to how the mobile friendly checker works but it rarely works for me so I quit using it.

Not sure if there's something special to be done for mobile coverage. What I do know is that the mobile app - in my experience and that of most others I know - is a hot mess and nearly completely useless.
*makes note to check listings to see if we have this same issue*

Oh. and I used that ebay I-Ways thingy months ago and it gave you the ability to bulk check for HTTP to get rid of my 3rd party advertisement at the bottom of my template. Haven't used it since.

Despite a lengthy bit of time when the mobile checker was simply not working, it has been reliably working for me for the past several weeks. I don't often use it much now because I now feel confident in my template that I store on Notepad. And making everything "mobile friendly" did help my sales a bit.

When I look at your listings using the eBay mobile app on an iPad your listings display fine. I don't have a smartphone so can't test and help you there but one would think if your listings display okay on a tablet using the app, smartphone display should be okay, too.
However, if you want to make sure your listings are "mobile friendly" pick a listing and go into it as to edit. Right above the description field in the upper-right are the words: "Mobile Friendly Checker." Click on that and it will bring up another screen.
If your listing is already mobile friendly it will tell you that. If not, click on the button "Fix It for Me" and the missing code will be added to your listing. Once the checker has done it's thing, be sure to scroll down and click "Save" or the code won't be saved to your listing. Then close this pop-up screen and continue to scroll down your listing as you normally would and click "Update listing" in the lower-left.

Excuse my ignorance but what in GOD"S Name is a 3rd party AWK and what in the world is a SYI Revision.

Nothing wrong with your listings just ebays search is broken on and off during all different times of day and night..

You are right~~my listings aren't mobile friendly. I did the mobile friendly check and fixed it on 2 listings so far~~looks like I'll have to spend the day doing the other 140+ listings. Thank you!!!!

There is no GOD involved here, unless you are referring to eBay. Auction Wizard 2000=AW2K. Listing service where you never have to go directly into eBay to list on their Sell Your Item Form (SYI). Unless it is now called something else. Not sure what ducks have to do with this either lolol.
Glad I was able to help. BUT my note to you had to do with a Store, not sure what happens with those not having a Store.

I will have to go and check my listings. I have the mobile app but I do all my listing from my laptop, so I have no idea if they are mobile friendly or not. Maybe this will help my sales a bit. Thanks for the thread.

I do have a store right now~~just subscribed to it 5/17 and it will close on 6/1. My sales were good enough for me until I subscribed to the store. It's been downhill ever since. I did better without a store. I'll check my listings again after 6/1.

You have WAY more than I have listed right now. So my fixing anything is a no-brainer. BUT there has to be a way you can bulk change all of them to mobile friendly? Since I don't use eBay's tools, I just don't know. What a waste of seller time.

Ebay is enough of a mess without me messing with their "available tools". I just got my 1st 50 done so only 90+ to go.
