pondering the eternal question of holiday weekend

I made a push to list many auctions without stopping to think they will end today, the end of the holiday weekend. So now I get to puzzle out whether to relist the unsolds. I could put them in my store but usually things go there to die, plus the hassle of storing them. OTOH, if I do that I can relist them late in the month if I haven't used up  my 200 freebies.

Is your concern about being paid? If so, don't most buyers have 30 days past the end of the listing/auction to make payment?

Or do you have your auctions set up to open an UPI case at a certain point?

Guess I don't understand the question.

sorry about being unclear. What I am asking myself is whether to relist unsolds. Did they go unsold due to the holiday weekend? Or are they duds?

I am also asking myself what my approach will be if I load up on auctions and use up the current 200 that are free. I think I will monitor whether ebay extends the free listing promotion. If not, once I run out I will sign up for a Premium store again. Going to do that at the end of the month anyway.

Generally speaking I like to list my auctions at 99 cents or 1 dollar starting as this will give me a good idea of demand. I know newer sellers like to start their auctions higher so as to ensure they will get a minimum from the sale however this can also easily throttle bidding and it is my theory that if the item has a demand then it will sell for a final price regardless of how low it starts.

$1 bids is also how I have learned what sells on ebay in the auction format, and what does not.

It can be a tough school but the lessons tend to stick.

That being said, if my $1 auction got no bids at all then it is a dud regardless of what weekend because if there exists a demand then it would get at least a few initial bids.    Of course if I had listed an item with a high initial / starting price then no bids would tell me nothing and I would be in your predicament.

You might try relisting with a $1 starting bid to see if you get any bids...

And even if you take a loss it will still attract people to your listings.
