I get 25% or so of my labels saying, FAILED TO RETRIEVE YOUR LABEL, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.
More ebay nonsense of course that no one has time for.
SO i usually go straight to paypal at that point and ship to the buyer through there.
What happens if the ebay address differs from the Paypal address and you ship to the buyer's Paypal address which is no longer valid?
Is this my problem for refunding, etc. or the buyer's problem since the item shows delivered to the PayPal address on record?

You ONLY ship to the address attached to the paypal payment.

so if i print through the ebay interface or the paypal order details, it would pull the same address from paypal?
Thanks!

Morning,
Since it's actually Paypal that provides the service for funding, it's Paypal's guidelines you need to follow.
Ebay kinda makes it sound like they are totally in charge at times but in reality, when it comes to the money part, PP is the boss.
Paypal also has far stricker rules and protections...ebays are many times to fluid and non binding.

Yes, but if you are printing from ebay, always double-check the address from the paypal payment.
Although you will see posts from the ebay blues that it's not necessary, do it anyway. All of us here know that it IS necessary.

THIS^^^^
Always verify funds, and ship to addy by logging directly into your PP acct.
Never trust emails, or any other notice of payment made.
PP is your bank....not ebay.

What is the benefit to the buyer for having different addresses on eBay and PayPal.
I would contact the buyer ask them clarify the matter and advise shipping will be delayed until the buyer chooses which addess for you to use. It may negate a future claim as you have documentation.

Morning,
The address on ebay is for activity between a member and ebay.
The shipping address may not be the same especially if one is purchasing an item for a gift or sending it to a different business address etc.
This is easily accomplished over at paypal when folks check out.
Not all of my activity is in the back hollars of nobletucky...and I have kin outside of here.
So I might be here in the back hollar as my regular address but I want to get something for my mother out in South Dakota and when I go to checkout at PP I put her address in there.
That's why you always go by the PP address.
Mr C
Edit: At other times I have had large equipment delivered to a large business near by because it needs to be taken off a truck by a forklift

Buyer can add, edit or select a "ship to" address when making payment.
That address is then set in *stone* at the time of payment and can not be changed by the buyer after they made their payment.
If the buyer wants the item to be shipped elsewhere, cancel as "buyer address problem" and relist.
Only ship to the address showing in your PP acct. transaction details page.
Sometimes sellers print labels before the actual payment is made in error and that ship to adress showing in ebay could easily be incorrect.
