not letting place a BUY IT NOW AD i have to include a starting bid on all ad WHY ???

i have been selling on ebay for years   most times I sell an item as BUY IT NOW   occasionally i will put an item up for bid  Today i am trying to ad more items and no matter what i do it is making me put a starting bid on evry ad   what am i missing   Did ebay change things or am i not seeing something  PLEAE HELP   Thanks

Use the Edit button to the right of where you are entering the price or bid.   This will let you turn on and off the auction or bin.
