negative feedback removal/comments

Waiting on eBay to remove a neg feedback from a buyer who opened a return case that was found in MY FAVOR. How long does this take? I was told she would not be allowed neg fb, which I took as literal. Not that she could post and then I'd have to have removed. She bought a US wired lamp, shipped to Denmark and expected to plug it in and use?! The feedback will def be removed, but in the meantime, does a reply to it from me hinder eBay from removing it? Thought I read that if there isa reply, then eBay will not remove it? I tried calling again, but the agent sounded unsure of themselves, so do not want to chance it. Her her her fb, which additionally, also makes false claims. Ugh, some crazies out there.

When this one gets her cl*ws in your money, there is no turning back…Always a red flag if a so called “seller” does not exepts returns.when this bottem-of-the- barrel , greedy lot take over 400 usd for a lamp that does not work, AND FAKE,well thats just illegal and very very very unpolite to not never answer to any mails.TRASHY PEOPLE TRASHY STUFF."

I don't think it would hinder it to reply, but once it's removed your reply will be as well.   If ebay still doesn't get back to you concerning the removal, you can reach out  a social media site:

https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/

These are credible US CS agents who work for ebay and many positive outcomes have been posted on these boards with their ability to help.  The one's you previously talked with are overseas and are limited in their ability to be helpful.

Sorry this was your experience.  Calling you names is unacceptable.  Good luck with future sales.

I never knew about this FB page, thank you for that!  And I certainly don't mind them removing my reply with the removal of the fb.

Thank much, best of all to you!

@luxe.curations.collections

Usually it is automatic if you qualify for FB removal.

Reach out ON SOCIAL MEDIA as @ckimodog suggests in their link.  Message button in upper of landing page.  Send a private PM with the order # and proof you prevailed.  Good luck!

@luxe.curations.collections   It has been a while but I recall reading that at one time eBay advised that if an FB was "replied to" then it would not be removed.  I do not know if they changed that with the newer seller Protections or not.  I know for the Free Returns setting it is removed automatically or blocked outright.  But your transaction was international so that may not apply on a return ...

Good question!

Let's ask velvet@ebay or jasmen@ebay for a clarification of that aspect of the feedback removal policy so we can all bookmark it for future reference.

Thanks for the info. I have called eBay 5x, this last time asking why it is not done instantly, as I saw on another Google search that indicates the same. Their answer was that the "fb removal team works offline" and it takes 24-72 hours. I do find that different agents have different answers, frustrating.

Thanks for the tag @pburn

Even if feedback has a reply it can be removed as long as it qualifies for removal. Thanks!

@pburn

I had a NEUT removed last week, that I had replied to, so not sure about the past, but it makes no difference now (well, at least last week).

ETA:  Oops, hadn't read Jasmen's reply yet, but what she posted, is in fact how it worked for me.

@luxe.curations.collections

I used the automated FB removal system.   Just find the link (sorry I don't remember where it was in Help) to request FB removal.  Then put in your reasons.   I used this last week & I had already replied to the FB & my NEUT was removed within MINUTES.  I was impressed by how quickly & well it worked.   I would not bother with Facebook (ugh, I refuse to use it), just use the Automated Request.

Who, exactly, told you the fb would be removed? If it was regular customer service those are not eBay employees and are taught to tell you what you want to hear.  I hope you got that promise from someone who actually has that authority. BTW, I am salivating over that sideboard/bar...gorgeous!!

as a general rule, feedback or bad feedback is removed from most returns

this is all part of the seller protection that many ebayers do not know exists

I am TRS and have not been able to get bad feedback for a return for several years

this feature has been slowly introduced to all sellers I think

I have also heard that feedback sweeps are done once a week

You are more than welcome @pburn  ... I know over time things change and at times some of the more obscure processes or procedures are not necessarily spelled out ...or it they are they are hard to find.
