You an send the refund through Paypal, which will draw on your back-up funding source.  If you wish it to come from your bank account, make sure that account is your back-up source.

Is that  service your and her bank offer?It would not thru ebay has ebay does not have that function.Even if it did you would have link your bank account to ebay not much different than linking to pp.

How do you get $ in and out of pp?

I just always transfer funds to my bank account when I get them, is that what your asking?

Send it from paypal using send money.  This method is not connected to the transaction, however if an issue comes up and you need to fully refund you can not deduct the amount you are sending outside the transaction details from the full refund.

Why not just issue a partial refund from the order details?  The buyer will get the refund very quickly and everything will show in the order details on paypal.

Not easily.  AND if they later file INAD from either paypal or eBay you will be out the entire amount PLUS the $10 you refunded outside the system.   You should ALWAYS have enough in your paypal account to handle refunds for your last few sales.

Sorry about that.  I forgot you mentioned you do not have the funds in your paypal. 

• I do not know of a quick way for you to do this accept western union which has fees?
• Tell the buyer you will send them a letter with cash in it? 

Not the best options but you have taken away all the good options when you refuse to attach your banking to your paypal account?  I did not even know you could have an active paypal account without a back up funding source?

You need to think about what you would do in a return where you have to pay return shipping and also refund in full?  You need to keep some money in your paypal account for instances like this.

I believe you would need her account number so you could transfer the money.... I send funds to my ally bank, my brother's account and my father's account via my BOA account all the time, but they've been set up for a while and I'm pretty sure I had to have the account number.

Please note, if you send her money outside the eBay/PayPal system, there is nothing keeping her from filing an INAD later on and getting a full refund.... AGAIN.
