member ID change and why would they?

can I see a buyers previous rating if they change their ID and why would they change it. I just had an offer for a high ticket item around 2k but after looking at the offer I see the person has a 56 rating (100%postitive) but he had changed his ID and has used this one for only a couple months......Is there anyway to see what his feedback as a buyer was from his previous ID....Just seems a little odd.

You can change your user id every 30 days..I even changed mine because I became tired of the userid I had had for 10 years that was named after a cat toy. And whatever feedback etc will go with your new user id automatically. It's only the name that changed. So worry not.

The rating of 56 is this member's entire history going back to the day they first registered; that carries over if they change their user ID.

All buyers have 100% feedback ratings, since sellers cannot leave negative or neutral ratings for buyers.

There are plenty of good reasons for changing your user ID and since it doesn't hide your history, there are no apparent underhanded reasons to do so.
