I listed a dory & nemo video playset figures in the correct video section.  I checked with USPS, they said these can be shipped media mail. In the past ebay let me print media labels for this product. Today ebay will not let me print media label. My listing states media, buyer chose media. now ebay wants me to ship first class. Is there a way to print a media label? thanks

When a seller purchases a shipping label, they can change the information about the package (weight, dimensions, service).  If the tracking says First Class, then that's what the seller finally paid for and it's not clear why you'd say he shipped with Parcel Select Ground.

When he uploaded the tracking number on Friday, that's what it said on the USPS website, but it changed to First Class mail service today. If he paid for Parcel  Select Ground, he only had to pay for $2.8 and if he paid for First class, he had to pay $4.2.

Postage cost for Parcel Select Ground starts at $7.01.

He probably lost $2.

He also will discover toys are not media.

Not being mean, but that's the way it goes.

I think the days of cheap shipping on purchases are about to go away for tracking.

I'm having the same problem.  My recent sales of a Disney Magazine, a Fangoria Magazine and a Cinefantastique Magazine all were banned from printing a Media Mail label.  Ebay claims they weren't eligible in the category that I had used.  It was listed as the shipping to be Media Mail but now it wont let me print the label.  The customer has only paid the reduced shipping price.   This is new this week.  I have been selling those types of magazines for years.

Magazines aren't eligible for Media Mail shipping.

Not sure what you mean here as tracking is free, and applies to all packages regardless of their shipping method. (In other words, you can't ship a package via USPS without it getting a tracking number.)

Since OP got his problem solved, I decided to borrow this thread and just prove that I'm not crazy ._.;;

It shows $2.8 for Parcel Select Ground, but I received my packet and it says USPS First Class on it, so I'm guessing he just sent it with $4.2, since I paid $2.4 x 2.

This is also a purchase that I made yesterday and Look.

eBay Website shows UPS, eBay mobile shows FedEx and Google thinks it's USPS. Lol.

What I mean is for a first class letter (.55c and up)  No tracking  for standard mail

If you want door to door tracking , it has to go First Class Package, right? ( $3 and up from USPS)

FedEx HomeDelivery is a combination service: It gets a USPS tracking number because USPS does the actual delivery.  FedEx processes it up to the nearest USPS sorting center.

Do you mean FedEx SmartPost? That's how those packages get handled.

Most magazines contain ads.  Material containing ads cannot be sent media mail.

Others have posted fairly recently that they have discovered that the USPS is apparently checking items shipped using Media Mail more closely.

It's SmartPost that goes via USPS on the last leg. But that order is really whacked, because it was shipped by UPS Mail Innovations - similar to UPS SurePost. UPS MI uses USPS as the last leg always(I think, but UPS SurePost could be delivered by UPS or the USPS, depending on the origin and destination. In this case it's a USPS tracking #, so it's going to be delivered by USPS.
