The question is. I sold an item in Canada. Order has been shipped on the next day after receiving a payment. In 5 days item has arrived in Canada and after this, duration 8 days, is in a Canada Border Services Agency for custom review. This info I see in official Canada Post web site. I contacted with Canadian Post, but they replied, that they had no control over the customs and nobody knows, how long time it can be at the customs. But the problem is that in five days the delivery time will expire. In my listing I have a note that I cannot be held responsible for any delay at the customs in the country of destination which may affect on the estimate delivery time. But we know, that eBay do not interested in all this and after 5 days eBay or Buyer can starting the procedure of refund. Can somebody advise me, what to do in this situation.
Thank you very much in advance

Call Ebay and ask them to look at the tracking and request a time extension.
Since the tracking shows movement and that it is at Customs, they should be able to grant this to you. Also ask that a note be put on your account that this is a delay due to Customs so it can be seen should this be held against you later. This is usually done in response to a case, but I believe you can do this proactively if you wish.
Be sure to get the rep name and conversation number to keep for your reference.
Good Luck!

Since when is there a time limit on international deliveries?
Buyers can file INR one day after the estimated day of delivery, whether is be domestic or internationally.

When you call eBay (click on the "Help & Contact" icon at the top of this page to get the phone number), make sure that you call BEFORE 10:00 AM PST, so that you speak with a Customer Service rep in the United States. Otherwise you'll be getting a CS rep in the Philippines, who may not fully understand your problem, or may simply agree to help you, but actually don't. The American reps are MUCH more helpful, and seem to actually be able to assist in these situations.
Word went out a few weeks ago, that Canadian Customs was really coming down hard on international packages, so that's probably the reason for the slowdown. Just wait until after Thanksgiving!!!

Your tracking to Canada will never be updated...this is why I will never ship to Canada...sorry to say...but you might be out of an item and money
False.
Canada is an eDELCON partner and tracking is door-to-door.
I have never had a USPS package to Canada "not update".
