item says sold even though it was canceled

The buyer asked cancelled the order. I respected their wishes and canceled, but my dashboard says that I sold the item and made the money, which I did not. I have relisted the same item (the same ad), but still it hasn't changed. Will I be charged for this?

  If it's just that bell thing in the upper right you can safely ignore it; the bell is glitchy.  If it's showing in Sold items that's a problem. Someone who's run into it will be along shortly.

Even though you canceled the order, the item still sold and will show sold on your dashboard.
