Yes. You can End a sale in Promotions Manager if it has been active for at least 24 hours. If it's been less than 24 hours you can remove individual items from the sale but you have to leave at least one.

I found a page with this language:
Items found (1236)Remove all (end sale)Remove all (end sale)
I am hoping that means the sale will come off but will not actually end the listings??

From my experience, this is the correct answer.
Answers upthread were valid for Markdown Manager, but MDM was retired and the Sale & Markdown tool through Promotions Manager operates with different rules, including the ability to end a sale. In a lot of ways it's more flexible - except for the new 14 day rule, that is.
There are two ways to end a sale. One is to use the dropdown menu shown in my photo which is the quickest option. The other is to edit the sale and remove all items cancelling the sale by default which the OP brought up in her last post.

thanks, all! I was pro MM for a while but have decided it's not really resulting in more sales, just less money per sale. : - /
