I sold an (**bleep**) 100% authentic 2004 Dior Jacket to a guy. Everything went well, money is on my bank account. Almost two weeks later he initiated a return/refund process and wrote me that the buttons are fake (which we cleared up aren't). He 100% already has three of these jackets at home and saw that the button/backsides are the same on all of them including the one he bought from me. Now he is claims the positioning/ratio of the imprint on the back buttons "does not seem" the same. He sent pics, that is not true either.
To me it looks like he just changed his mind and would like his money back. Maybe he's a scammer, I don't know that. I won't refund, I will wait until Ebay get's in. I can prove the jacket is authentic - from what I've been reading online, Ebay does not care much about what the seller says.
Does anyone have experience with how this goes down if Ebay gets into the process?
Much appreciated.

@helpline4152 STOP DOING THAT!
I don't know what you expect to gain by this but stop it.
You are too late for anything if you actually got a return.
Posting here doesn't earn you one ounce of cred..
Aaaaaand this thread is old..

just allow the return. You will lose money if he keeps it and gets refunded by Ebay without having to return it. It will be a loss on your part.

You appear to think that something like a trial occurs when Ebay steps in, and that you get to make a case that the buyer is wrong and a liar and a cheat.
There is no trial. Ebay looks and says the buyer said not as described. The seller did not agree to the return and did not issue a refund is all Ebay considers. The buyer wins.

It's obvious to some who the scammer is.

This thing doesn't think, not in the human sense anyway. It started a post that was just a copy-paste of another post (in March) and now it's making that same full post as replies (see messages 15 and 16 ^).
Anybody remember the 'glitching' zombie in the water fountain, on Dawn of the Dead (2004)?

OMG I'm so glad you made me think about it. -So, yeah Dawn is WAY up there for me too. But I'd have to say 28 ____'s Later is my fav (and yes I do think 'Weeks' is as good as 'Days' so they're tied for first basically). Yes, admittedly part of it is my being an anglophile.
But ..... then I wondered, 'Wasn't there talk about a third one at some point?' So I looked it up and HOLY COW, LOOK!!! And practically no waiting even, it's NEXT MONTH!!

LOL this zombie actually looks like it could be Cillian Murphy. Unfortunately he doesn't appear to be in the cast. -Ralph Fiennes is though, one of my other 'ME-OW' men. 🤣

I haven't seen '1' -haven't even heard of it! Oh I am so out of the movie loop. I don't even have a theater anywhere near me. There was a nice stadium theater but after Covid it just stayed closed down.

Now, if the buyer opens a case with their payment provider, you'll probably lose the jacket and payment.

How can eBay force a refund if the jacket was purchased with cash?
05-15-2025 06:06 AM
There was no jacket. the poster is manipulating the internet to display a phone number that will be associated with eBay returns. It was edited out by the moderators. They want to take calls about returns to steal personal and or financial information. I don't know why eBay doesn't have the software or AI to ban this type of activity.

Yes but Cillian was also the main character, Jim, in 28 Days Later, the first film movie in that series (look at me almost calling a zombie flick a "film" -good grief). Remember, he woke up in the hospital from a coma, and the streets of London were abandoned except for scattered corpses?
Incidentally, The Walking Dead starts with the exact same thing, Rick awakening in a hospital bed, walking out, silent town, bodies. This has always bugged me, so I just did some googling. Apparently 28DL DID do it first, but only months before the first issue of TWD comic book release, which was already written long before the 28DL release (which was also written long before, but you get the gist).
Basically both writers wanted to introduce the audience to the post-apocalyptic landscape through the eyes of someone who had no idea what happened, and there's virtually no way to do that other than awakening from a coma, and TWD author really had no idea a screenwriter had the same idea, almost simultaneously.
LOL I found a Reddit poster adamantly arguing for the plot viability of an astronaut returning to Earth without knowing what happened, but you can probably imagine the nerd debate that ensued from there. Honestly the only surprise there was that nobody pointed out how (if you know more about comas than what's in movies) the coma awakening thing is also pretty absurd, akt-shu-ally. 🤓
Ha, but here's a thought. What if someone escaped from the basement of a serial killer who had been keeping them captive a while ..... then discovers the zombie reality awaiting outside .... BUT the serial killer is also still alive and quite stoked to find himself in a lawless world where he can do his favorite thing without having to worry about DNA and whatever? TWO HORROR MOVIES IN ONE!
Ooo, and what if he captures some zombies and comes up with various ways to use them. Like for instance he could have a zombie and a living victim chained at opposite ends of a room, then lengthen the zombie's chain link-by-link, until its mouth is just able to reach the victim's foot.
Ooo! And that zombie should be the victim's own kid! Okay I'm off to write my fortune now, tata!
🤣😆😂
