I HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH A CUSTOMER FOR 2 DAYS IN REGARDS TO ITEMS THEY ARE PURCHASING FROM ME. THEY ARE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. I WAS READY TO MAKE A LARGE SALE AND I GET MESSAGE FROM EBAY THAT I EXCEEDED THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I CAN COMMUNICATE WITH BUYER. IS THERE A GO AROUND? INSANE!! NOTHING LIKE LOSING A VERY LARGE SALE

Large sale or a scammer??? I find the larger the communication times the more likly of the second option.
Just saying.
And yes you are restricted to so many communications.
I have no work around for such.

I'm not sure if ebay charges extra for all caps?

Wow, that is a new one for me. I've had some lengthy chats with buyers & never had that issue. Though mine are 99% domestic. What country is the person from out of curiosity?

Wow. I've never heard of this before. And we've been here since, well, waaay too long.
Anyone have a link about this communication restriction?

I have heard of it (here, actually), and warned a buyer once to use communications sparingly. (Looking for link now...)
In that instance, I had a listing and the buyer asked if I'd add Local Pickup. But before I'd had time to change the listing, the buyer had sent several (unnecessary) messages... "I could meet you at Kroger", "I'll be in a brown truck", etc.
My next reply was to tell him we were about to run out of messages, so wait for the one I'd send after the listing was ready for him. That message tied up all the loose ends, plus left him one for confirmation.
^^^ This particular buyer was in my County, only 20 miles away... but I don't think it mattered.
I remember times when messaging seemed unlimited, but I was afraid I'd get 'tagged'... after reading about this here.
In that thread, it seems like I read that 5 more messages can be initiated tomorrow (if they've run out of their portion for today), but I'm not sure. I'm with @donsdetour... I know of no workaround.

I have a customer in Australia....during lockdown he routinely contacted me minimum5 times a day regarding contents of books/magaines (or whatever was on his mind at that moment...LOL)
easily exceeding 20 messages in a 24 hr span on occasion...I never saw or noticed a maximum (I could only wish)

Why are you SHOUTING at us? We didn't do whatever it is that has you in an uproar.

I don't know if this will work but you could go to your customer's feedback page and see if you can send a message from there.

My guess would be that eBay is on the look-out for multiple messages in case the buyer or seller is looking to take the transaction off eBay. Be careful.

Yes, that's exactly what it is. I used up my quota as a seller one time, domestic.

@lostkitten32 Depending on the actual number of questions, the type of questions, and the fact that only you know whether these questions are valid or just a delay tactic, I would be starting to ask myself if I really want to deal with this buyer [especially shipping off shore.]
I know - a BIG sale is a great thing, but a BIG sale can also end up as a BIG loss - to me your buyer sounds like they are ticking all the boxes for being a PITA later
