E-bay says they must hold my money until the buyer receives the item. From where I live, Media Mail can take 4-6 weeks. Are they going to do this to me all the time? Why?

Potential buyers could be confused by this verbiage in the description “Shipping: FREE PRIORITY MAIL POSTAGE”
and the shipping details page that says Media Mail.
As a seller with no recent sales history, eBay will consider you a ‘new’ seller.
Here is the eBay help page about payment holds.

You have only recently been selling here again.
That puts you in the same category as new sellers.
Do you have your Managed Payments account set up?
EBay needs your SSN and checking account information to transfer those payments to your bank at the end of the standard Hold period for new and returning sellers.
Paypal is no longer available to sellers.*
Until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 21 days if there's no tracking. They can hold the payment for the full 21 days if you're selling in a high risk category.
Given the value of the records you have been selling, consider upgrading to regular shipping. As you say, Media Mail is slow at the best of times, and that means more time for damage to occur.
*Buyers can still use PP.

Sorry, but $175-$200 by MM shipping from Hawaii does not make much sense.
Compared to GA small packages there is likely less than $1 difference in cost.
dryopelia has linked to the WHY on the payment hold.

I don't think there are any holds "until the buyer received the item".
Holds are usually a period of time.

That's your fault. You are selling high dollar record albums and sending the cheapest and slowest way to the buyers. Spend a few extra bucks and send 1st class

Actually, not sure the time period/number of items is set in stone. When I wanted to sell a few items again recently. (after selling 30-40 items back in 2021), eBay did hold payment until delivery, but only for the first maybe 5-6 items. Way less than 90 days too, Maybe a couple weeks. My entire last selling spell didn't last 90 days.
Now, I had been very active as a buyer in the interim, paid super fast (usually within minutes), Maybe their risk algorithm worked in my favor?

Set in sandstone?
I agree.
When I opened a new account some years ago, I faced the restrictions for a month. Then I contacted eBay, pointed to my other six accounts, and asked if some restrictions could be listed.
The number of listings jumped from ten a month to 40,000(!) and payments were processed immediately.
This was under Paypal-- pre Managed Payments which is stricter now that the processing programs are run by financial institutions and not by techbro disruptors.
Better to overestimate the restrictions and be pleased when they are more quickly removed.
