I looked at a set I sold today and noticed the listing says "fast n free". My understanding was that this is for Priority mail with free shipping. This order has free shipping but it's Media Mail. Double-checked it. I do offer Priority on some books but certainly not a huge set!
Just surprised that they would say this about a Media Mail item.

eBay will put the Fast N free badge on a listing when they estimate delivery within 4 business days. When you look at your own listing, you see the shipping time to ship to a buyer in your own ZIP Code. The listing probably isn't showing Fast N Free to farther buyers.

I see Fast N Free on that listing but I'm just down in North Carolina right on the Virginia border so it probably would make it to me in 4 business days.

The whole "Fast n Free" thing seems to be applied based on your previous shipping habits, not taking into account any of your shipping policies.
I list all my items with 2 business days handling time and offer only standard 5 day shipping, yet I see Fast n Free on my listings constantly.
The faster you ship, the more ebay will mark your listings with fast n free.
What really bothers me is how ebay offers estimated delivery dates that are often unrealistic, like 2 days to send an item half way across the country.
I've had buyers complain over again that they didn't receive their item within the estimated time frame. I tell them to call ebay and cry to them, as I gave no such estimates and could care less. Not my problem.

Hmm, I have a different "customer service" approach: I keep my buyers informed of the estimated dates of both eBay and USPS. If I see things are slow or are going to miss the "estimates" then I relay that information. I guess this style doesn't work for many as I get railed against and criticized by others when I post about it. But hey, haven't had any issues and buyers seem to appreciate the care and attention. So just a thought or a different perspective. Customer care versus could care less, not my problem.
