ebays Search Engine is a Mess

My Dear Sellers, The state of ebays search engine is a disaster.  I have a very popular ski jacket in my store and it is a BIN item.  I was wondering why it did not sell after two months. I decided to go in as a buyer and search for my item.  In the search bar, I entered all of what I thought was the necessary information.  The item is specifically a mens item.  The search was producing ladies items from different companies.  I then went back to my listing and checked if all my item specifics were correct.  

My Item is listed as a ski/snowboard Parka.  I noticed that the other sellers had parka and the word jacket in their listings.  I rearranged my listing to include the word jacket.  I checked 10 minutes later and sure enough there was my listing.  Ever since ebay totally screwed up the item specifics in many catagories, many are complaining about no sales.  You can not have sales if your items are not showing.  My item is indeed a "parka" and not a jacket.  Call it semantics but now I have to check all 430 of my items.  I really wish ebay would leave well enough alone and focus on some real improvements

Unfortunately keywords and their variants are more important than ever.  We use every item specific avaikable to us, including working the title in somewhere or part of it.

To me, a jacket is shorter, like a Parka and coat, coukd be long or short.  Would use all 3 some how, if possible. 

Good luck.  Search is indeed frustrating right now.  I diary items to go check on - would not wait 2 months to see why something seasonal had not sold in the height of the season.  We diary and check on items in search, pricing, etc.
