You sold one item at the end of November, to one bidder for the starting price of $85! When listing on auction, you need to start at the minimum price you would like to get, unless you have a reserve price. You owe the buyer that item. eBay and buyers esp, takes a dim view of sellers who cancel a sale because they started too low and did not get the price they wanted.

If you were able to cancel the sale, eBay might still charge you FVF etc, to them, it would look like you may have been using their platform to find a buyer and took the sale off eBay when you found one.

How would you feel if you found a great deal, and the seller did the same thing to you?

If the item was no longer for sale, why did you let the auction run?

Have a great day.

My guess would be, the OP did not like the ending price.

Note the OP says "buyer" not "with a bid" or anything about trying to end the auction early.

hello, to answer everyones questions.

1. i was selling this item for my friend quintin and he wanted the item gone as soon as possible he set the price this was just a favor.

2. he found a seller closer and sold it for more and told me to cancel it

3. i thought an auction would make it go by faster to get the laptop out of his hair.

i get that its an inconvenience and im going to pay them there money back
