I have been selling on ebay ever since it started, it use to be so much fun, now I can't even make sense on how to sell anymore, not knowing if I got paid or not, no one you can talk to when there is a problem, it is a total waist of time, and the fees are crazy!!!
Reading other post I can see I'm not alone in my feelings about ebay. Please, please, please, bring back the old ebay, you will see the people that left will come back if you bring it back, if you don't it will surely die.

" Please, please, please, bring back the old eBay,"
You mean the one that did not have photo hosting and was just a venue: and you took checks and MO.
No seller or buyers protection etc......
Or the one prior to manged payments??
Ahh change be happening: go with the flow....

Well, the 'beginning' of ebay was when my neighbor and I worked on the BETA version of the software in 1994. Your account says 2000 so you started in year six. He wrote the original code. I was a BETA tester and lived across the street from him.
The important question is Are you prepared to enter 2022 with the on-line selling rules and tax laws changed?
How well you adapt to Managed Payments is the least of our worries.

And "Automotive" was "NEW" then! LOL
It really was that bad back then.........wow. Thank goodness there is some evolution on this site. Toys shows "bean bag plush", so beanie babies were in full swing and named to the category!

Ebay is being run by a bunch of MBAs that know NOTHING about selling on Ebay. All they care about is the bottom line. The thing they really don't understand is if they stayed the heck out of our business and had their servers on 24/7/365 all over the world there would be so much merch sold that we would all make a comfortable living and they would too.

I keep on reading about sellers that do not know if they have been paid or not
seller hub makes it simple to know what to ship
I never look to see if I am paid anymore and did not do it in paypal either
seller hub lets you know what to ship and it means you have been paid for the item
payments are important but not as important as shipping whats already been paid for
I have yet to see a scammer manipulate seller hub to mimic a payment

I don't mind the fees as long as sales can be steady. The payment system has be fine for me. Funds are in my bank 2 days after the sale. My issue is the interference in my visibility!!! Last week, I sold over $800 in 3 1/2 days. The 2nd half of the week was absolutely dismal! 0 sales! Then, Sunday & into the night, all of a sudden, 7 sales! Why did I get shut out for about 85 hours???? It's not a normal "ebb & flow" like the excuses some love to give for eBay's "throttling." This is the really annoying part about trying to get a full time sales generated on here. My plan is to spread listings out across many platforms. Good luck to you. 🙂

You've clearly never worked retail, because that sort of traffic pattern is 100% normal in B&M stores. You'll have lulls where hardly anyone comes in for a few hours, and then all of a sudden you'll get a whole bunch of people all at once.
What would be abnormal would be a steady, constant stream of customers or sales.

There endless ways to respond to this type of complaint.
Did you look in the mirror? When was the last time you bought a NEW computer? I know people selling on ebay using Windows 7 for goodness sake. And they wonder why things run slowly.
