Has anyone else noticed eBay’s search results to be completely random?

i search for sports cards I’ve listed just to see how well mine show up and what’s been popping up has been completely random results. I’ve tried searching several random players and all that pops up are ether breaks to join or completely random collectibles like coins that have nothing to do with the search.

i thought maybe I had something checked off in filter that was causing it but nothing was adjusted by filter or sort.

No, I have not found it to be "completely random".

i search for sports cards I’ve listed just to see how well mine show up and what’s been popping up has been completely random results.

If you are looking for assistance, an example of the search terms you are using and the category you are searching in would be a great help to us.

Lots of folks searching for sports cards seem to be having an issue, particularly using the 6.168.0.2 version of the eBay app.

Possibly this is an iOS issue only? The Android 6.168.0.1 version of the app seems to be producing reasonable search results for me, and searching using a mobile browser works as well.

You should be able to report app issues on your phone by shaking the device while the app is active.

Try using a different sort if you are using "Best Match". Try narrowing the results to one category. Try putting one of your search keywords in quotes. Try searching using a browser instead of the app.

Or try searching using a desktop browser or another device to search for sports cards.

I do get random search results sometimes.
I was just searching for a shirt size L. Pulled up a few pages of results in the "Best Match sort."

One was a size XS. Checked to see if there was a mistake in the listing anywhere causing eBay to see the word "Large" somewhere, but no...

It must of been a glitch yesterday. Today I tried it again and is working fine.

i was trying generic searches such as “cj stroud rookie card” or little more in depth such as 2023 optic cj stroud rated rookie card and was getting all these coins or card breaks (even if i tried adding card singles)
