Let me guess.
A buyer opened up a return case, you didn't do anything about it, and ebay automatically refunded the buyer?

Don't waste your time thinking about suing anyone.
Your listings say "no returns" but you should be aware that "no returns" does not mean no refunds. eBay's Money Back Guarantee gives buyers their money back regardless of the reason and you have the choice of either accepting a return and giving them a refund or not accepting a return and giving them a refund anyway. If you ignore a return claim, eBay steps in and issues a refund for you and you get a defect. This is all spelled out in eBay's Terms that you agreed to when signing on to sell on eBay.
Your listings have a multitude of typos, spelling errors, words left out, misidentified items, lack of condition and details, etc. These things can all contribute to Not As Described claims.

Why don't you call the Police?

Sorry, I'm kind of busy right now. Maybe next week.

ROTFLMAO. The combined value of your current listings and sold listings added together do not come close to any amount worthy of suing anyone in the court system.

I've received no memo regarding lawsuits. I'd ignore it if I did... but that's just me.

All joking aside, OP, this is correct advice.
And you may want to take some time to read all the articles at the following link: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-policies/selling-policies?id=4214
Keep in mind, if you get just 3 of these 'forced' returns, which result in a 'defects' (i.e., you do not act and ebay has to step in), you will probably be banned from selling on ebay...
Please be careful and be smart. 🙂

Yes ebay is ripping us off in more ways than one. When you return a partial overpayment for shipping because some yahoo went and paid for 4 separate shipping charges, ebay keeps the fees on the money you refund as I do the ethical thing and refund the difference. Doesn't sound like much but on average I probably refund atleast $20 a week. Being they run the entire game now, they know exactly what we are refunding unlike when you used to refund through pay pal, yet they haven't fixed this.
It's even more upsetting since I have even contacted ebay to get the request a total feature fixed as it won't work on my auctions and they can't figure out how to fix it. Can't or won't? I'm suspecting the later. Now cross that shipping refund fee overpayment with thousands of sellers and they probably rake in a few hundred thousand dollars or more in fees.
Just one of the many ways they are working to provide a positive selling and buying experience.
