eBay "new" listing tool - no catalog lookups?

Was just forced to the new listing tool in one of my stores yesterday. I can find no place to search the eBay catalog. I use the "sell similar" function as my listings are all the same except for the item. It just carries over the same catalog listing (and applications for eBay motors). If I use a listing that was not in the catalog, there is simply no applications. I have a fair quantity of new auto parts, and not having the catalog and applications will be a real sales killer. Am I missing something, or has eBay abandoned the catalog? *confused*

Until yesterday the search functionality worked so you could 'sell similar' and then change products by doing a catalog search.  A very useful function that they had NO reason to remove, especially after making such a big deal about everything being in the catalog.
