I am a fairly new eBay seller, and have a question about the two different view counters that eBay provides.
One is in seller hub>listings, where you see the views and other info for your items.
I have an item, for example, that reports 27 views in this section.
However, there is also a different way to view the listing's views, by going to seller hub>performance>traffic, and scroll to the bottom. You can see eBay views, external site views, and impressions for each item.
The same item that had 27 views in the first section only reports to have 5 eBay page views and 2 external site views, 7 views total. 7 does not equal 27.
How can this be?

Welcome to the way eBay reports traffic. Pay no attention and just focus on sales and offers. The traffic means nothing, because you can't actually trust it's truth in reporting.
It's nice seeing something like XX million views the past 30 days, but it means nothing.
Just focus on sales, and you will feel more sane.
