I have contacted eBay 3 times over the past week and nobody can provide me with an explaination on my issue even after claiming to do further research. I had 3 promotional campaigns running with about 100 items all set to 5%. I had sold several items which showed the correct 5% additional AD RATE in my account invoice. Every campaign item showed 5% AD RATE picked. On the 25th I had an item for $300 sell which when I checked my invoice showed an 8% AD RATE billed. #1. This item did NOT sell under any campaign/AD RATE because all 3 campaigns show a total of $175 in sales. I have since ended all of them due to this incorrect fee problem. The 8% amounts to about $24 in addition to the normal selling fees, etc. I am hoping someone at eBay reads this and provides an explaination as to if this is a known software glitch to drum up extra fees for eBay by hoping the sellers don't notice or simply a gitch that needs fixed. You have to check everything on ebay.
At one point the promoted campaign ebay was only showing my items as promoted (it is supposed to show twice, one if as if no promotions in its original casinni search placemnet and the other promoted further down the page.)
This "glitch" cost sellers millions as ebay did not inform the community and only those who found it received refunds
So yes check your fees, I will do that now, thanks for posting.

Another “glitch” in eBay’s favor?
Why am I not surprised?
