Hi everyone,
Has anyone else received this rather threatening email from eBay?
"In the light of a recent change in German VAT law, we have reviewed your eBay account. Based on the nature of your trading activities, we assume that you no longer act as a private seller.
1. A business account upgrade is required: According to guidance by the German authorities, sellers with an annual sales volume of more than 17,500 euros are considered to trade as businesses.

Due to legal reasons, business sellers must identify as such. Learn more about how to upgrade your eBay account to a business account.

2. A German VAT certificate is required: German law requires business sellers to provide eBay with a certificate (“Bescheinigung nach §22f UStG”) to confirm their tax registration in Germany. Learn more about this certificate:

You have 4 weeks to upgrade to a business account, so you can continue trading on eBay. Once you have completed this, please make sure to submit your German VAT certificate.
We highly recommend you contact your tax consultant to discuss next steps.
We appreciate your cooperation,"
My total sales to Germany across eBay and Amazon Marketplace are less than 1000 thousand pounds over the last 12 months.... And nor do I ship from a German warehouse or dropship from a German warehouse.
Curious if others have received the same. o.O
Thanks,
Marc
