eBay Store and Incorrect eBay Fees

If anyone has opened a store on eBay, you had better check the fees you are being charged.  I opened my store with the understanding my selling fees would go from 12.6% to 8.6%.  That 4% savings would pay for the monthly eBay Store charge and theoretically save me some money since the transaction fee would be less.

WARNING WARNING WARNING...  Please check your eBay payments carefully, for several weeks eBay charged me 4% more than I was supposed to be charged.  Multiple calls to eBay Managed Care Department and I'm still waiting on the credit that was supposedly processed.

I'm told it was an IT glitch, that a lot of sellers were charged improperly, and that they are waiting for the sellers to call eBay to open cases before refunds/adjustments will be made.

YOU WILL ONLY GET REFUNDED FOR THE EBAY OVERCHARGES IF YOU CALL AND OPEN A TICKET AND FOLLOW UP!!!

eBay Store and Incorrect eBay Fees

The Store rates for final value fees are applied to listings that began after you signed up for the subscription.  Fixed price listings that were active before that will switch to the Store FVF rate when they roll over.

Don't know what  type of store you opened & what  categories you sell in but eBay fees can very - check out the store selling fees  for what you have & what categories you sell in.   BTW  In my  quick scroll thru didn't find an 8.6% any where.

eBay Store and Incorrect eBay Fees

Good info, thanks for explaining that, at this point I am being charged at the correct rate.

It's amazing that you know how to explain it so eloquently and the several eBay agents I've spoken with are still spinning their wheels.

It's also frustrating that when I opened my store and spoke in length with the eBay Managed Payment representative, had they mentioned that little "I Gotcha" about relisting the one item I sell on eBay, I would have saved a few hundred dollars.  I'm finding that eBay get's an "F" when it comes to providing practical advice and support to sellers.

eBay's CS reps often read from a script when giving answers.  If the question is just a little out of the ordinary, you run the risk of receiving wrong information.

When you have a problem, feel free to ask us here.  If we don't know the answer, we can usually refer you to a place where you can find it.
