eBay Payment Account is Restricted ?

Hello Guys,

Please I need help, First I Hope everything is going well with you, I was very happy until I got a message from eBay yesterday Feb 15 about; ...My payouts are currently on hold because my eBay payment account is restricted. A U.S. Court has directed eBay to freeze my account... I m very afraid what i have done i have no idea please what can i do? I didn't t sell any brand items for the Plaintiff Company XXXXX I checked all my listed items theres not such name of the company or there products. I m writing this message to you and tears in my eyes because I have never done anything wrong in selling on eBay since 2015. You can check my account status. I m not a bad person. Please now I m asking you guys anyone was in this situation can help me if this problem can be solved what I should do. I m very afraid to lose my account or be in trouble. I m not a bad person. Please Please Help me I m begging you. 😞

If you can't get paid, I would put your listings on Time Away until you can get it straightened out.

Have you done your research on drop shipping (ebay rules and regs):  and the laws of where you live??

How about the tax situation there.

Just diving into eBay,  or following one of them (how to)  things out there:  have gotten a lot of folks into financial trouble as well as legal problems.

Research is your friend, reading the rules and regulations of eBay is your friend.

Finding and obeying the laws in your own country is your friend.

What’s the penalty in Morocco for selling fake luxury watches, fake iPods, fake game boys, etc?

     I would suggest you do as the message says and contact the attorney as suggested. This indeed looks like a copyright issue. The case may be interesting given you are in Morocco, the drop shipper is in China and the case was filed in a US District Court in Illinois. 

     I would suggest, since you cannot get paid, that you end every item you currently have listed until you get this issue resolved. Anything that sells or you continue to sell, if buyers can even purchase at the moment,  I am guessing those funds will be put on hold as well but based on eBay policy you will still have to ship. Those funds may wind up being taken by the court to pay legal costs should the plaintiff win the case. 

     Exactly how much trouble you are in is a good question and the attorney could probably advise you on that better than anyone on this forum since we don't know the particulars of the case. You also appear to have the Court Case Title and/or number which you could Google and see if you can find any additional information.

I don't believe that message is legit from ebay. 

When you get that type of message from ebay, the top of the message shows as:

From:eBay

Sent: (date and time)

And it wouldn't show as "Hello," but instead, would have "Hi _______" with either your first name or your user ID. (For some of my own messages, they show just my first name and for others, my seller ID). 

If you go to your messages and click "from ebay" the message would be in there if it's really from ebay.

     It should be pretty easy to find out if the OP's account is really restricted and if the letter is in fact real. While customer support may not be the best these days they are probably capable of telling the OP if in fact their account is restricted and their funds on hold. They may also be able to validate/verify the message but that may be stretching it a bit.

@dbfolks166mt I'm afraid this lead me to some troubles I can't resist I don't know what to do i'm very depressed now you know when this happen I wished if I never have an eBay account 😔
