I see no option to set a shipping policy as the default in the new business policy dashboard. Hoping I am missing something easy. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Unfortunately you are not missing anything. I called out the same thing with the new launch.
My preference would be to set a default policy. Unfortunately the system is looking at the last selected policy.
Don't shoot the messenger @sanfordsherman .

Haha, my water pistol is holstered. Sadly, the previous dashboard's default setting never worked for me, leaving me eating shipping costs when I don't catch it creating a new listing. And it seems my last selected policy isn't taking either. By selected, do you mean used when creating a new listing or last edited within the business policy dashboard?

I mean used when creating a new listing.

Well shucks, I wish that would work for me. As it stands, no matter how many times I change my media mail policy to USPS my ground policy in a new listing, a subsequent new listing will always default to to the former. It's a feature not a bug!

Hmm maybe it's behind the scenes going back to the original default policy? I tested it months ago when they first changed it (my accounts are always early with phased rollouts) and it was going to last used policy, but haven't checked since.
99% of listing on my accounts is done using "sell similar" from my own listings to copy over policies from like items. Is that something that would work for you?

@wastingtime101
A default policy would be most helpful. Maybe if you suggest it, they'll take notice?

I already have suggested it. It used to exist, then eBay redesigned it and made it awful (all white space and spread out, not a functional business tool) and they eliminated defaults.
