delaying a GSP shipment

I had a guy order something and THEN send me an ebay message asking me to wait to ship it until Oct. 20th.    It's a Global shipping package (Canada).

I know I'll take a hit on my "on time shipping" metrics or whatever.  I'm willing to take that.  What I'm NOT SURE about is if this will screw me up when it comes to Global shipping.  I mean, the package won't get to THEM in Erlanger for another 2 weeks.  I'm just worried that might somehow confuse them or something.  

So I can't decide if I should cancel and have the guy RE purchase in a couple of weeks.  Or just hold it and ship it on the 20th (which is my preference).  

Anyone ever delayed a GSP package?

never used it,but should it matter unless canceled/refunded?

they have order number or something.

would they know if you didn't have a 2 week handling time?

Well, now that I think of it........I guess I was OVER thinking it because I never even thought of that (ha!).
