darned if I know what these are (CDs)

 I have two boxes of CDs that are cluttering up the place because I do not know  how to list them. I don't know what to call them. Here are some samples. I searched "New Age CDs" and got mostly music. "Alternative Medicine CDs" was not helpful either. Some are Asian practices, other Western. I am about to give up and dump them on the thrift store or something. [sorry I do not know how to rotate the photos] Any thoughts welcomed.

Guided meditation, ambient music, new age music, space music, etc. etc.  Feldenkrais is movement awareness.  Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice of exercise and meditation.  *Oh, I see Zhitro - Buddhist practice.

*I can see where fitting them into categories might be a little tough. 😒  That's a range.

So perhaps go through the boxes and try to sort out some "guided meditation"? I tried a small lot of the qi gong with no luck though recently I sold some odd booklets on that subject.

I don't have much I would call "music". Some are spiritual I guess, others have to do with the body.

Wish I had a new agey friend who could tell me how someone would look for this stuff. I think the right person would have a field day with it.

Meant to add, I got these from the Friends of the Library in the area. They didn't know what to do with all of it either.

Sell them as a large lot and let someone else worry about it?   I've sold a lot of CDs and there is definitely a market for them, but they have to be the *right* CDs.  Many new age/ambient/meditation artists have a smaller if devoted following.  Maybe batch them into Eastern disciplines, ambient music and meditation or something like that.

When I was selling my jazz CD collection (mostly free jazz, fusion, funk, space, etc.), I found it easier to sell by genre than individual CDs.  So 25 CDs of artists all in the free, fusion, avant garde all in one big pile.   A collection of Sun Ra rather than individual CDs because he's in a class by himself.  Finally a small collection of mostly traditional jazz artists.  I gave a good price and they sold quickly to genre enthusiasts.

Yes, I would like to break it down if I could only figure out what this stuff is about. I took the advice about meditation CDs and found that nearly one of the two boxes fits that topic! So that's a start anyway.

@keziak  If you look up "ambient music artists" you'll probably find some lists of artists and titles to identify some other of those CDs - it's a popular genre, also new age or space music, it's a bit interchangeable.  Eastern martial arts/meditative disciplines would be another grouping.

They aren't music...no martial arts (I have tons of that!  😁). Asian religions/disciplines might work. I just launched a large lot of them as "meditation", will see if that works out at all.

What happens when you enter just the ISBN number?

Many of these CDs may already be categorized under the ISBN.

When I worked at Barnes & Noble, we categorized these under the lump description "New Age," and then broke it down further into meditation, sound effects, etc.

Try the ISBN route first, and see what happens.
