I listed an item which did not sell.  Yet, $80 was withdrawn by ebay from my bank account.  WHY?

EBay doesn't know you didn't get paid unless you open the UID.

Go to the Resolution Center and open the claim, and if still no payment 96 hours after that, you close the case to get your FVF refunded.

But the OP isn't saying that he didn't get paid. He's saying that the item didn't sell in the first place. This makes no sense. What does the PayPal transaction detail show?

Did your item sell but the buyer never paid? It is difficult to offer help with little information. What was the item you listed? Ebay has a breakdown of its fees on your invoice. What does it say the charge is for on the invoice detail?
